This Linux port was made by Linux Game Publishing in partnership with Blizzard. Despsite this, files related to a Linux version were present up to WotLK in the MPQ files.

It's still a relatively tiny market compared to Windows, and MacOS. The maintenance and development effort probably was not worth it.

World of Warcraft has been around for almost thirteen years, and it is still the most popular MMORPG. Unfortunately, Blizzard has not yet released an official Linux client for that time.
