Why World of Warcraft has no native Linux version?

WoW Wiki / Wowpedia says that World of Warcraft had a native Linux version during the alpha/beta stages, but it didn't make its way to the final release. This Linux port was made by Linux Game Publishing in partnership with Blizzard. Despsite this, files related to a Linux version were present up to WotLK in the MPQ files.
Now: why WoW doesn't have a native Linux version today? Linux is now more popular than in 2004, has a large gaming community...

It's still a relatively tiny market compared to Windows, and MacOS. The maintenance and development effort probably was not worth it.

World of Warcraft has been around for almost thirteen years, and it is still the most popular MMORPG. Unfortunately, Blizzard has not yet released an official Linux client for that time.
Why hasn't it released it yet? It's a question that comes up quite often. One of the good answers, I think, I read a couple of years ago by one of the online essay writing service. The answer is: For whom? It seems to me that at least half of all the Linux users are already on Linux. But no, it's the same 2% as 20 years ago. Why? That is a question for marketing experts.

Let me continue with the question: why does a person sit down at a computer? Many people will think of the answer: to use all kinds of useful applications. But this is the wrong answer. A person doesn't care about applications at all. He is trying to achieve his goals:

To chat with friends, boosting his mood and his social value
to make money by finding a demand for his skills and talents
learn something, learn the news of his city, country, planet

Friends, let's be honest, Microsoft is still much more convenient for the average user. In my opinion Linux will remain a fun game for people who as a child did not play with the construction set. That is why there are still 2% of them.
