[Help] Two Questions (Quest & Lua) menu

    [Help] Two Questions (Quest & Lua)

    First question, I have made a Welcome Npc, which gives an instant 80 quest. This quest works fine, however, it only works on certain maps. For instance, It doesn't work in Durotar, but it works in Tirisfal Glades. How can I fix this issue?

    Other question about Lua scripts. I heard you can only have 3 custom Lua's (1 for Npc, object, and item each), but does this can't for boss scripts as well? I already have a Lua Teleporter Npc, but I want to make a script for a boss. Can I have these both, and work properly?

    I dont think this is true becuase i have multiple lua scripts Custom By me So you should be able to have multiple scripts. and the quest issue i would just lower the rate by just abit ;D

    I think you misunderstood. The quest only works on certain maps, but which, there is no "MapId" to set, just "ZoneId" and where the Npc is spawned (just in the starting places) are all the same ZoneId.

    about the lua's yes you can have multiple lua's i currently have 251 lua scripts running and countless c++ scripts :P

    as long as you have them declared differently its all good, if you have the same declaration in multiple scripts one will end up covering up the other :S

    bye declarations i mean like functions,registers and all that good junk ^_^

    :S about the quest well im not the db expert thats my friend XD but as far as i know there is no requiredmap column for quest make sure that you dont have any requirements set up so that only certain classess can take it

    btw if you want an instant 80 server why not just enable the instant 80 in the config files >_<

    hmm your right i just looked at the script and the spell arrays have to be reworked -_- well at least for arcemu it does later on if i remember ill rewrite it and post the patch :P
    but now im going to sleep XD

    Maybe when you made the quest you made a requirement that is only possible in the first area you put it .. Or perhaps you set it to that it was in a specific place. Usually if you leave everything Generic when you make the quest you can spawn the person anywhere and it will work....

    I didn't really see anything wrong in the SQL, but i didn't check detailed though...

    Anyhow you said the zoneID for all the startingzones is the same?
    Durator: 14
    Mulgore: 215
    Tirisfal glades: 85
    ....

    anyhow i am gonna check again when i am back from school... (in about 8hours)

    How is the quest_starter and finisher built? You use different creatures for each zone or the same for all or..? (not that this is relevant)

    Lol, well, on the server I'm messing around on now, no matter where I'm at, I see "map: 1 zone: 0/ map: 0 zone: 0/ map: 571 zone: 0"

    Honeslty, whenever I do use .gps, I've never seen a different number than 0 for the zone ID. Maybe its the server I'm on? Lol
